← View All 414 MonitorsThe Wall Mount Adapter (WMA) allows any 414-series monitor-controller to be mounted directly to a wall surface instead of panel-mounting. The adapter plate attaches to the enclosure's rear cover using the provided hardware, and the assembly is then secured to the wall through four mounting holes.
Troubleshooting
The adapter plate does not align with the back cover
If the adapter plate holes do not line up with the back cover:
- Verify you drilled at all 4 guide positions - The depressions on the inside of the back cover indicate the correct drill locations.
- Check drill bit size - Use a 7/64" drill bit as specified.
- Confirm WMA compatibility - The WMA is designed for all 414-series enclosures. Contact support if you have a non-standard unit.
The enclosure does not reattach securely after wall mounting
If the enclosure is loose or difficult to reattach:
- Ensure the back cover is flush against the wall - The adapter plate should sit flat against the wall surface with no gaps.
- Check for interference - Make sure wiring is routed cleanly and does not prevent the enclosure from seating properly.
- Verify captive screws - The 4 captive screws should thread smoothly into the enclosure.

Which 414-series monitors is the WMA compatible with?
The WMA is compatible with all 414-series monitor-controllers, including the 414R, 414C, and 414TDS, across all voltage configurations and output models.
What tools do I need for installation?
You will need a 7/64" drill bit and a screwdriver for the captive enclosure screws. You will also need fasteners appropriate for your wall material.
Are wall fasteners included?
No. The WMA includes hardware for attaching the adapter plate to the enclosure back cover. Wall fasteners must be supplied by the installer.
Can I perform wiring before mounting to the wall?
Hydro-Check recommends completing all wall mounting steps before performing any electrical wiring.
Can I convert back to panel mounting later?
Yes. The WMA is a reversible accessory. Remove the enclosure from the wall, detach the adapter plate from the rear cover, and the unit can be panel-mounted again.
Does the WMA work with the 414-RMA Remote Alarm?
Yes. The WMA is fully compatible with the 414-RMA Remote Alarm Module and all other 414-series accessories.
